For the Chicken:
- 2 boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon paprika
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
For the Creamy Garlic Parmesan Sauce:
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 3 cloves garlic minced
- 1 cup mushrooms sliced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- ½ cup chicken broth
- ½ cup parmesan cheese grated
- ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
- ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 tablespoons red pepper flakes (for garnish)
Cook the Chicken:
Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika on both sides.
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
Sear the chicken for 5-6 minutes per side until golden brown and fully cooked (internal temp 165°F/75°C). Remove and set aside.
Make the Creamy Sauce:
In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
Add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
Stir in mushrooms and cook for 3-4 minutes until tender.
Pour in chicken broth and let it reduce slightly.
Add heavy cream, parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes. Simmer for 3-4 minutes until the sauce thickens.
Combine & Serve:
Return the chicken breasts to the pan and spoon the sauce over them.
